I want to take a minute to really recognize the staff of the poker room at Mohegan Sun.
Being on the other side of the table and just getting chips and playing tournaments makes us really take it for granted what really goes on behind the scenes and how much work goes into putting on one of these events.
I saw yesterday first hand how organized the staff, from the dealers to the supervisors to the poker room manager and how difficult their job can be. I observed dealer briefings, color ups, tact full handling of a drunk and abusive player, monitoring the clock in the final seconds so that everyone plays down to 10 min exactly. I observed all this and was impressed with this staff at Mohegan and wanted to share that.
I can not emphasize enough how misinformed I had been about what they actually do here to get a tournament started, keep it running an keep all the players playing.. THEY WORK EXTREMELY HARD .
